My interdisciplinary art practice is embedded in the convergence of ecology, emergent futures and embodiment. Using a diversity of mediums I communicate stories of interrelationships, the threads that tie together beings, places, things. In a search for belonging within the human world, interdependence and interconnection remind us of our belonging to the Earth on a cellular level.  We exist as bodies full of microscopic beings, surrounded by other bodies, rooted in the body of the Earth. I draw inspiration for my work from the stories of my lineages (Finnish-Sámi and Italian), the stories of plants, the stories of my communities and from repeating patterns within historical and contemporary society.
